"It is my hope that they decide to pay the profits out to shareholders as dividends."
So you have been waiting 11 years for a dividend play?
At .088, any significant news, whether that first be on the Markman front, settlement front or new technologies front, will likely deliver significant percentage moves up from these levels, far more significant than a one time dividend payout to 300 million shares.
For the company to come this far, weather the storm, enforce significant patents in billion dollar growth markets, and then not leverage the revenue growth to further expand and grow the company would be a crucial error.
If that was the case, then what for EDIG ?
There are investments that are easy, solid dividend plays. EDIG is not one of them.
I could think of no bigger blunder, after waiting 11 years, for the patents to be validated and monetized then to blow it all on a one time dividend. Penny stock investments for dividend consideration??? Think again.
When EDIG makes its move, sell some of your .09 buys at .35 and call it a dividend if you like, then hold the rest for capital appreciation for what lies ahead, but do NOT weaken the company by depleting its cash position for a one time dividend pay out.
