Im not sure that I can give much insight on this.

The smallest possible change to the patent and get it passed the examiner would be the best.

So its a trade off. Change it just enough to pass, but dont change anymore than you absolutely have to.

For some reason the Patent Attorneys felt the described change and the new claims were needed. They cerntainly know much more about it that I do.

One point is I like that they said "transistor" and not MOSFET. That is a very smart move. A MOSFET is a transistor, but not all transistors are MOSFETs. Nobody uses MOSFETs anymore. Everybody still uses transistors of course.

Time will tell. This stuff requires the patience of a Monk.....
