"We're never told which, what and how many. We're to assume removable CF/SD, Yet we don't know if that includes USB flash or even SIMs."

The packaging is not important....What is important, of all the above and others, is the physical makeup of the memory.....the individual memory cells and the continuity of those cells....defect problems. With that, the makeup properties of the cells are not important either....any type process.. metal oxide to crystalline....etc. They'll all require integrity testing prior to use.

The newly added word "MEDIA" for claim 13 of 737.....replacing claim 5 ...

Old: "activating memory integrity test"

New: "activating memory media integrity test"

The package is not important....what is, are the methods utilized to isolate bad cells of memory.

This is highly important ...no matter how pure manufactures of memory feel they can produce...not all cells are perfect.

For e.Digital....this is but a tip of what they do....however, just think of how important this is.
