"They'd just move on to the next project"--unless this plan is also part of Fred's retirement package. I have heard that he is in his late 50's and maybe is looking to make a score and be done with it. The complete buy out may be the plan as opposed to taking in dollars and expanding/continuing the business of the company. I do not know--just suggesting a possible different set of circumstances.
