Message: Re: Google Unit Ends IPR Challenges Over Thermostat Patents

Just to try to clarify a few things.

Google did buy Nest in January of 2014 for $3.2 billion--not a settlement a complete buy out--it really happened--they own it now.

Nest just settled with Allure, settled with them did not buy them.

Edig's suits against Nest and Dropcam were terminated and Edig settled and signed a license agreement with the parent corp Google.

Google seems to me to be cleaning up the patent messes they inherited when they bought Nest. They have also recently gotten rid of the former CEO of Nest that came with the deal and has pledged to continue working with the Nest acquisition. Good for us.

We were suing all three Nest, Dropcam, and Google--the first two were dropped and we settled with Google. Allure settled with Nest. Does that just mean that Allure was not also suing the other two so there was just a Nest settlement or could there be a different meaning?
