This seems to be close to the present financial equation based on what has been disclosed. If there are no royalties to be paid, this looks a bit like a "cash cow" for employees and contractors (lawyers) with nothing left for investors. 

It seems that the only path out for investors is a buy out of the company for its IP. I am hopeful that the CEO and BoD are working on just that. but am unlikely to ever know until after it has happened.

I am good with a $3.50 per share buy out also BTW  Contrary to what Gordon Gecko says, I believe that greed is not good but getting whole with a modest but reasonable profit is. Hope to leave something for my grandchildren who will be starting college soon.
