I too was starting to think the same thing, after all this time, pessimism rears its head to all of us that have been patient cheerleaders. Having just looked back at the S-1's current and prior, I just have my own ignorant opinion. The filing at the end of last year, was to fund intial drilling. The amendment filed after that reduced the offering from 450 to 350 million with the same max excersiable price. I took this as a positive that perhaps they were working with a private placement or means of funding other than totally through Tangiers. When they withdrew the S-1, I really thought that other funding had been obtained, needing not to deal with Tangiers; and the only thing to wait for were the permits. Since we refiled a S-1 last month, I think that fell apart for whatever reason, and we came back to where we were in Nov/Dec. Since I, like many, believed the S-1 and thus quiet period would all be resolved by this week or next, I bought more yesterday. And of course, after my purchase I heard through this forum about the S-1A. Having looked at it, I don't think its all that bad. The one filed in Jan, had a max selling price of .0022 for the shares. The new one has it at .0028. I think that means it well be less shares needed to get the same amount of dollars through Tangiers, and perhaps easier to move with the price at .0029-.0033 currently. I strongly urge anybody with a more complete understanding of all this accounting junk to correct and school me, because though I have investment managment experience, a lot of this is just too thick and heavy for me to fully understand. I do honestly believe though that we have the permits in hand at this moment. The filing for those was a long time ago, and the timeframe of 60-90 days expired at the end of Jan. And I don't know another reason to file a new S-1, if you don't have those in hand already. I am shocked by the extent of the quiet period (never seen anything like this-3 months!), but with all the smart people involved in running and investing in this company, I think its for a pretty darn good reason. And I believe that since this is just a S-1A, then it shouldn't take a month; perhaps just a couple weeks at most. Have a great day, and please shoot down my ignorance in a reply if I'm looking at this all wrong. Go team.
