Surface mining and open pit/cast I kind'a lumped together for simplification to distinquish from the much more costly underground mining.

As to financing two holes, I can't see that that is in any way part of the plan. I believe that money needs to be available to pay for the entire 10-hole program, which can be suspended should the first two holes suggest that further work is not warranted.
