Yes Charlieboy !!!!!! With my trading house its the lowest price of the day, and that worked well for me when I did my wifes tfsa. We had a 10 cent drop one day back when , so I jumped on it and that gave her several more shares in her account.
Ive never tried to transfer from My rsp to my tfsa simply because of tax implications, but transfering from my self directed cash account to TFSA is a direct swap. No sell and buy back, just a direct transfer. Took 1 minute.
Already waiting for my contribution for 2011. Remember that the first possible contribution day may not be the best day. If you feel that there is a small down trend coming you may consider holding off a day or six.
