Are there examples in the mining industry where this dividend scenario has occured? It does sound interesting.

With regards to the dollar amount of the shares...I have been reading this board faithfully since April and during that time I have seen a huge range of valuations placed on the SP, whether it be $50 or $500. Until SLI releases assay results, who knows? I personally have based my calculations on $35. I do believe (and hope) however, that the final SP could be north of $100.
