Lima, Jan. 29 (ANDINA). Peruvian President Ollanta Humala's recently concluded trip to Spain and Switzerland was a great success in attracting the interest of foreign investors, Foreign Minister Rafael Roncagliolo said on Sunday.
Roncagliolo told Andina that the country's participation in the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos has generated great expectations among European business leaders due to the good economic situation and investment opportunities in Peru.
"I can say that there is huge interest in investing in Peru and we had a series of parallel meetings during this trip," said Roncagliolo. "The trip has met its objectives, both in Madrid and Davos."
The minister noted that the message delivered by President Humala at the meetings and conferences on his tour was key to drawing interest from several transnational firms.
"The world has its eyes on Peru," he added.
