In my time in the mutual fund business, I met many of those managers but Cundill always stuck in my mind. You would look at his Cundill Value Fund and ask yourself, what the heck is this stuff, but year over year he kicked butt, and with one of the lowest volatilities of all the equity funds. He always went lookin for the overlooked, the unloved, the misunderstood.
I am certain UC is all of those.
Here's why:
Whole lotta people don't seem to realize that Spider/KWG land should shortly be our land. Also don't seem aware of ten VMS hits up there already.
Cashed up, waiting on new aero survey to help identify new hole positions.
New boss man. Good interview. Seems like a fairly sharp tool.
New boss at Layesca, and new consultant brewin new plan. Jim seemed exhuberently subdued. Oxymoronic, I think, but what I heard.
Rethink of Ladura, and new drill plan at Soledad.
A real cheap ticket to the show. Not to say it might not get cheaper, but I shouldn't think much cheaper.
Nighty night.
