I think that since the change from JAG to Cardio, the appetite for chasing the ghosts of the pasts has wained. IMO I really look at this as cut their losses (lawyers bills) and move on as the past has almost nothing to do with the direction we are heading.

I really could never get my head wrapped around the NSS story. From JAG days they have changed the cusip number and trading symbol twice at least so how would the NSS get converted if they were to get resolved?

Basically they are cleaning up the outstanding legal history so that new shareholders will not have these open questions out there. Less ghosts should convert to a better SP hopefully.
