Of course, Saudi Arabia is about the only national oil company, or for that matter, oil company period, that can be profitable pumping oil below $40.00. You don't suppose that Saudi Arabia would use such a "blocking" strategy to effectively eliminate competiton? Then at a subsequent period, acquire their eliminated competiton. As in the Tar Sands, in which they, though having expressed interest, have taken very little to no action as of yet. It would not surprise me!
