CUU own 25% Schaft Creek: proven/probable min. reserves/940.8m tonnes = 0.27% copper, 0.19 g/t gold, 0.018% moly and 1.72 g/t silver containing: 5.6b lbs copper, 5.8m ounces gold, 363.5m lbs moly and 51.7m ounces silver; (Recoverable CuEq 0.46%)
Am I wrong to compare the two???
We won't know for sure until the BFS is released, but we do know that the terrain near Schaft Creek is vastly different than Galore Creek. This significantly impacts the site layout and costs. In addition, here are a few other key differences:
Potential Acid Generating Rock - affects tailings management and environmental concerns
Galore Creek = 25%
Schaft Creek = 5%
Precipitation - affects the tailings management
Galore Creek = 3000mm
Schaft Creek = 1000mm
Concentrate Grade - reflects the quality of the final product
Galore Creek = 28%
Schaft Creek = 33% (PFS numbers)
