Hey Demolish,

We can go off topic or PM if you like, but the gentleman who gave the info was Bruce Barrett (BC Hydro VP of T&D Projects and Programs). He was speaking publicly to a few hundred people at the BC/Yukon Chapter of the Canadian Mineral Processors - maybe he was mixed up, but if I recall correctly, he repeated the point about the doubling capacity.

At any rate, I don't think they'll have trouble getting the juice they need as the mines will end up paying for it, and if enough mines go online, they'll be pumping natural gas up there ... I hear that the big trucks are already starting to switch to NG in Ft. Mac and other heavy industrial areas.
