I've been staying away from putting my 2 cents on the board today because I promised myself a no Negativity Day. So, to stay on tract with staying positive today, I read the History of Schaft Creek and the following is a somewhat detailed summary of it.

IMO, since the first mention of Teck's involvement with SC was in 1980 to date, I see no reason why they would not approve the BFS as "bankable". Their long term interest (33 years), especially Dr. Keevil (sp?), as mentioned in previous articles and posts, and all the time and money Teck has spent on SC, only establishes their continued interest to own this mine, which has now been proven to be a DISTRICT. If Teck was interested before in SC, they should be salivating and drooling now, like Gollum, in J. R. Tolkiens novel, "The Hobbit" and Schaft Creek now is: "My Precious" District! LOL

Schaft Creek discovered in 1957 by prospector Nick Bird, who was employed by BIK Syndicate, a consortium of Silver Standard Mines Ltd., McIntyre Porcupine Mines Limited, Kerr Addison Mines Ltd. (now Noranda Inc) and Dalhousie Oil Ltd. under the direct supervision of William St. Clair Dunn.

BIK Syndicate was reorganized in 1966 into Liard Copper Mines Ltd. (Silver Standard Mines) with 66% interest, the manager (operator), hired ASARCO in 1966 to explore the Liard Copper Mines properties. Unfortunately, the project was not well maintained and in 1968, Hecla Mining Co. of Canada Ltd, a subsidiary of Hecla Mining Co. of Wallace, Idaho. entered into an option agreement for 75% property interest from Liard Copper Mines and commenced drilling and exploration work through 1975/76.

Note: There were no mention in between, how Teck's name or Schaft Creek got involved from this point forward. I assume the mention of Teck and Schaft Creek were probably changed from a Liard Mines acquisition. Guessing here...

In 1980, Teck continued drilling and exploration from Hecla's work and completed the project in 1981, followed up with engineering study to determine feasibility of a mine development. Further data reviews were performed by Western Copper Holdings in 1988 and Teck in 1993. The property had been on hold till 2002, when Salazar obtained an Option Agreement to acquire 100% of Teck's interest.

There has been no production of minteral products from Schaft Creek properties to date.

I feel our present concerns about the bankability of the BFS, stems from our past experiences of anticipating everything as good and positive and later learned otherwise, and now our minds are preparing for the worse and hoping for the best. Not negative thinking, just cautious and playing with different "what if" scenarios.

I hope knowing the history of Schaft Creek and Teck and their continued interest to date, helps to calm everyone's nerves. Furthermore, do not forget, Don Lindsay, in his past few articles, and interviews, plus annual meeting, had expressed their interest in juniors, considering, their mine life in copper mines are dwindling. Teck has an urgency for a mine with good mine life and great mineralization, i.e. CUU.
