CUU own 25% Schaft Creek: proven/probable min. reserves/940.8m tonnes = 0.27% copper, 0.19 g/t gold, 0.018% moly and 1.72 g/t silver containing: 5.6b lbs copper, 5.8m ounces gold, 363.5m lbs moly and 51.7m ounces silver; (Recoverable CuEq 0.46%)
It doesn't change anything at Schaft Creek because it has always been Tahltan territory. There was no dispute over that.
The Tsilhqot'in didn't gain greater rights, just greater territory and clarified that their permission should be sought on that territory.
In Quebec, for instance, 40% of their land has claims that are unceded. This ruling will affect all those claims in a massive way. If you have anything in Quebec you might want to have a quick look.
This court ruling covers land that is being used right now for hunting and fishing by FN's. It should have a big effect on the pipeline, but I don't see how it has any effect on us.
We already have an MOU in place with the Tahltan. I think their presence guarantees us that we aren't caught up in any uncertainty or competing land claims.
