Well, if the feds approved the Canadian Zinc mine, which is surrounded by the Nahani National Park, I am not too worried about geting approval for Schaft Creek even if is close to the Mount Edziza Provincial Park.


Not only did NGO environmental groups oppose the Prairie Creek mine, Parks Canada fought like help to keep Canadian Zinc from operating the mine and even re-establishing an old road to the mine site.

Most peple thought there was zero chance that mine would ever go ahead, but there was support from the nearest First Nation (not unanimous, but there were agreements between the band and the company).

Schaft Creek's odds are much, much better than that!
