It would be more interesting for me if Don L. firstly and Elmer secondly were swaped for more competent people.

I agree wholeheartedly on the second one - should have done it after the abysmal "we only have one chance to get it right" BFS, but after this Carmax fiasco we need a completely new team, new blood, fresh perspective. Obviously, they are way too comfortable in their positions (phoning it in, so to speak)...

Not sure why you think Don L. is incompetent? He has kept Teck profitable even in these horrible market and commodity conditions. I give him top marks, and think he is one of the best of the best IMHO. I feel very comfortable investing in Teck with him at the helm, and he has generated good returns this year. He will not spend Teck into oblivion.

If only we could get someone of his calibre.

I was never comfortable with ES after the undrilled waste BFS and Salazar collapse. Should have got out then, but hindsight is 20/20. Lesson learned for sure.
