(Most likely) Having mental health issues don't make one "not human". Instead of continuing to spread social stigma about mentally ill, perhaps we should be talking about what can be done to prevent future tragedies like this. Mental Health care budgets are already extremely underfunded in both Canada and the US. They get even further stripped beyond bare bones when there are budget problems. If it's not a part of the conversation, and it continues to have social stigma then it will continue to be a problem. People have physical limitations - we work around them. People have mental limitations - but people choose to ignore them.
