Why on Earth would KRY settle for either of your dollar amounts? Your 1 x invested amount gives no value whatsoever to the gold. Like I said, I just don't get where you're coming from on this.

I am sure Fung is playing hard ball to squeeze every last dollar for the best settlement possible not only for shareholders but also to maximize the return on his new options as well. You reassured me in regard to the length of the contract so thank you!

The shady part is the recent 30/70 law that VZ could claim in court thus greatly reducing our profit margins. So the rough $100/oz net profit projection is questionable.

All I am saying is that I had to speculate on what the worse possible case is from my POV. I wont complain if we get something close to 2B. :)

I do feel confident that settlement negotiations have been ongoing for quite some time now and Fung himself mentioned he was flying down to VZ frequently and they must have provided some evidence of that to the bondholders since they backed off. If that were to leak the negotiations would be harmed due to the frenzy of speculation in the SP so I can clearly understand the need for silence from all involved to get this hammered out ASAP.

I have better places to put my money so personally would accept a low ball offer from Chavez if that saves me 3-5 years of lost potential especially since we're expecting a surge in gold in the coming months/years. I'm sure the funds and bondholders agree and are pressurign Fung to get this done "tomorrow".
