The only thing I can remember publicly being said about Kry and LC that might have been non negative by a VZ official was when Sanz said no decision had been made about Kry being involved in mining LC.

I agree you can find lots of comments about LC being nationalized and being mined by a joint VZ Russian company since 2005. Like Kry getting the permit the Russians mining LC hasn't happened either.

If Fung and the Chinese are lying then Hugo didn't do an about face. If however Hugo promised the Chinese the permit to mine LC the Hugo did a 180.

I have never believed a word said by Hugo or any other VZ official in the press. Even if Hugo came out today and said he was going to honor the contract with Kry I wouldn't believe it until it actually happened.
