Crystallex International Corporation is a Canadian-based gold company with a successful record of developing and operating gold mines in Venezuela and elsewhere in South America
It seems highly unlikely that Venezuela would make any deal with Citic or anyone else to mine LC unless that company agreed to indemnify and hold harmless Venezuela against any claims by KRY. In that regard, any deal to mine LC is essentially worthless unless the data room is part of the deal as it would take years to develop that data. Hence, it seems to me that it is likely that if there is a deal, Citic would buy out KRY's interest, and if KRY engages in such a deal, it would have no reason to do so unless it gets what it thinks it could get via an arbitration award less a discount (say 1/3) for the certainty of a settlement. If this is all acccurate, then the fact that Citic signed a deal with Vz would necessarily mean that a deal with KRY is in the works. But the mere idea that this saga could be nearing a conclusion is so far fetched that my surmise must be way off base.
