Developing large acreage positions of unconventional and conventional oil and gas resources
<****BCGA's absolutely benefit from unitization in terms of recovery. If everyone involved shares their resources and knowledge> Knowledge is the biggest factor. The construction of these wells is expensive, and some degree of trial and error needs to be applied to determine the correct tool and bit selection, as well as other operational and drilling parameters. If each company works as it's own island, then the wheel needs to be re-invented in triplicate. Working together lets them build off each other’s experience. Completions are another area where the sharing of operational data and history will help out. While the multi-zone fracing technique EOM/HAL have designed may work well here, this is only the framework for a successful frac. The right pressures, flow rates, propant materials/sizes, stimulation chemicals etc. all need to be custom picked for this application. This is the difference between $30MM or $6MM per well once the drilling and completion program is designed and proven. I agree that there is some Give in the whole process, but hopefully there is some Take that will benefit us too. SILVERHOUND
