Message: Quiet Diplomacy

On the Message Hub, I owe our intrepid investors an explanation as to what I’ve been doing lately. I’m giving (what I term) “quiet diplomacy” a go.

As a result of all the talk we’ve had about “Shareholders for Accountability at Fancamp,” I received helpful Private Messages, which, by their nature, are confidential. However, it’s not a state secret that I’ve started having discussions; and I’ve been well received on the phone.

It’s too early to say what my quiet diplomacy (as I’ve put it) will achieve.
If I get nowhere fast, I’ll move on to doing my best to apply whatever public pressure I can.

I can say, I’m learning things.

For example, when you talk to a very influential person within the company,
and he doesn’t own a home computer, outside of the geophysical realm,
what does that tell you about his ability to follow through with business initiatives?

As I’ve said at length earlier, there’s very specific things we need so far as how we run our office (if you can imagine what we have as physically being much of a business space). As follows is the Google Maps link to our “Head Office.” This is where Debra Chapman, our “Director, Secretary and CFO,” is located.

https://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&q=7290+GRAY+AVENUE,+BURNABY,B.C.+V5J+3Z2&ie=UTF-8&hq=&hnear=0x54867642821a159f:0x1b0f6beeae7f46ae,7290+Gray+Ave,+Burnaby,+BC+V5J+3Z1,+Canada&gl=us&ei=cU3_T6PJD-nc0QH-rNH8Bg&ved=0CAkQ8gEwAA

If I got this to work for you, the link takes you to a map, with a small photo of a residential street on the left side of the webpage. Click on the photo to enlarge it. Click on the individual houses to enlarge them. Can you imagine high-powered business meetings being conducted in any of them?

As follows is the Google Maps link to our “Regional Office.” This is where Peter H. Smith, our “Director and President,” is located.

https://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&q=340+VICTORIA+AVENUE,+WESTMOUNT+Q.C.+H3Z+2M8&ie=UTF-8&hq=&hnear=0x4cc910a6b8d33f7f:0x8d89f93d17ee0585,340+Avenue+Victoria,+Westmount,+QC+H3Z+2N1,+Canada&gl=us&ei=jlb_T5a1IIuo0AGe1JHRBA&ved=0CAgQ8gEwAA

In this case the photo is a townhouse on a commercial business street. Possibly this is a suitable place to conduct business; or possibly this is a residence; or possibly it’s both. It appears that our “Regional Office” has a superior business address compared to our “Head Office.”

On our website, these are the only Fancamp addresses given. What’s my point?

Balance our earliest days against our present situation. Our present office space was very appropriate for our earlier days when we needed to put every dollar into the geophysical sphere. That’s not the case any longer. Even if we want to scrimp and save, even leaving our office space out of the equation, at the least we should have a working virtual office on the computer.

Time marches on. We’ve had a large measure of #1) exploration triumphs, #2) success proving what we found, and #3) achievement making deals with business partners. We own stock and NSRs. We have world class geophysical assets. We’ve gone a long way in documenting those assets.

It’s high time to move on. As we’ve discussed on the Message Hub repeatedly, our Managing Directors are not dividing their time and attention rationally. We need exchanges of information taking place, on an hourly basis, between our Managing Directors and between the one or two new people we should employ.

As I’ve said in the past, we should be considering the constituent parts of our company to be #1) exploration, #2) negotiation with business partners, and #3) our SP (maximizing shareholder values). Presently, I’m proposing that we dedicate 2% of our annual expenditures on #3, for starters.
