I am on record either on this board or the "other" as supporting a clean environment. I believe that we should not "S**t in our own nest", but I do not think we should destroy our market place for some unproven theory, and especially in the ways that are being proposed.

Climatechange has become a religion and big business, even though there is no proof that we are increasing CO2, or that any increase in CO2 is a danger to our environment.

Until proof is presented and the threat shown to be real, those advocating climate change on the basis it is being presented today, will remain "climate change idiots" in my eyes.

I support healthy debate.

I support factual results.

I support everyone being aware of the truth.

I do not support guesswork.

I do not support action based on supposition or unfounded assumptions.

I do not support hysterical fanatics who will stop at nothing and at any cost to try and prove a point.

I do not support un-informed politicians trying to "milk" this fanatical, unproven situation.

I do not support a transfer of wealth, that will almost certainly find its way into the coffers of dictators and other unscrupulous demagogues.

And I abhor unscrupulous individuals that prey on ignorant people, who stretch the truth, and manipulate for personal gain (Al Gore comes to mind, for one).

Governments have been responsible for driving our industry overseas. They need to stay away from being in business. The marketplace can police itself; it can regulate and impose its own interest rates and it can certainly regulate supply and demand more efficiently than government.

When companies fail, they need to be allowed to fail, not rewarded.

I have six grandchildren who need to know they have a fighting chance to survive in this world, not faced with a future debt that will impede their ability to advance and/or help future generations advance.

I hear your concerns and I sympathize. I feel we want the same thing and feel frustrated because of the way the problem(s) are being approached.

As for gold, it reacts to financial stupidity; no more, no less.

I deliver my concerns,always with respect, in writing, to my government, the press, etc. whoever needs to be informed and whoever will listen.

I encourage you and all others to do likewise.
