Sorry, but I don't agree with you. Many think its a matter of the dark side ganging up on the poor long siders. Nothing could be farther from the truth. Don't believe all this doom and gloom from people who are afraid of the shorters. You have nothing to fear but fear itself. You see your theory doesn't hold water, the shorters could say the same thing about the longs, they wait for a narrow trading range and drive the share price up. Please don't overlook that simple fact. A shorter at some point has to buy the stock or he doesn't make money, exactly the same as a long, he doesn't make money until he sells, so at some point he has to sell.

I think a person who shorts a stock like NOT needs his/her temperature read, I know I for one would never go short this stock. To many suprises possible from the drill bit. I know I wouldn't be sleeping well at night if I was short.

Once again shorting is not a bad thing. Just because many are long this stock( as I am), they fear anything and everything. If you fear the short sellers, the stock market is not the place for you.
