Moffett.  Now that brings back some more old half forgotten memories.  I was stationed at Sunnyvale STC (Satellite Tracking Center) in 1968 and had Moffett as my home military base as no other military facility was around.  We didn't spend much time there as just after arriving the project (MOL - Manned Orbiting Lab - MOL) was cancelled.  Sunnyvale was nice and living in San Jose was also nice - except for traffic.  Yep, even in those early days the traffic was terrific.  Oh, we did greatly enjoy all the wineries and the free wine tasting they offered.  Ah, the good ole days.  I hear that that the free part is history.
