If TPL was negotiating from a position of preceived weakness, we would already have a settlement. I think we can correctly assume that TPL is negotiating from a preceived postion of strength. Having come this far, any lesser valued settlement options may now be off the table. The max $ value would be achieved by taking the 584 off the table and settle only for the 336/148 at an amount that would make a statement.
