Aren't we saying the same:
The parties don't, in fact, have to submit settlement details to the Court, a joint motion to dismiss will suffice. The settlement is enforceable should a party not adhere to the agreed terms.

Okay, but nonetheless there must be authenticated copies of the agreement which the other side cannot dispute so that if anyone reneges on the conditions the court can be consulted/case reopened etc.

However, the case is not reopened as it has changed from infringement to contract and would be litigated under breach of contract.
