93 years old? WOW! She was a strong lady to have lived that long.

Please know that I am sending you my prayers and thougths during this

sad time.

Doesn't matter that you don't know me or anyone else on this board, we

are real people with real feelings just like you. And we care.

Deb

PS

ronran "wasn't" all that impressed with Roger Cook during the markman.

I too listened to the audio on the appeal and I was more confused than

the Justices seemed to be. I 'wished' that Roger could have pointed

out a few lines, paragraphs or phrases that clearly showed the 584

worked in any position, not just right justified. It sounded like the female

Justice kind of "got" what Roger was trying to say but they were confused.

I think the inventors had to write the patent the way they did to overcome

prior art (as Roger kind of said) but his explanation of HOW the technology

works was not clearly spelled out in the pages the justices were looking

at giving a clear path for the defense to jump all over the phrases

that clearly poinited to the prefered and customary method being Right

justified. Mostly, I was confused. Guess it was easier for them to rule as Judge

Ward did. Hopefully the inventors have overcome the limiting explanation/

terms that existed in the 584 (pre) reexam, since they added some 50

additional pages to the claims.

I too thought Roger was NOT very clear in his explanations.

What's UP with that Roger???????????? Sounded like he might have had

a cold. I hope we get some great news from the USPTO.
