I just read it again and something caught my eye. Iw was noted that in each proceeding there were no ammendments as of the merge date. Now comes the question. Do we need a first office action before the patent owner can initiate an ammendment to add claims? That is the way it worked on the other two.

Given what has happened so far, with added claims to both the 148 and 584, one might just suspect that there is already a list of claims to be added for the 336.
