Emtnester thank you for some great posts on the USPTO process .
I would think that TPL could still put some pressure on potential infringers by stating that they will pay much more after the USPTO process is completed to bring them to the table now. These companies know the odds of the USPTO rejecting all four patents in the reexamination process is highly unlikely and the patents more than likely will come out strengthened. Forward looking companies like those that have been first movers are licensing at lower rates than if they wait. There must be more companies out there that realize this and will come forward before the reexamination is completed.
I suppose it is possible that TPL has decided to slow down the licensing at this time until the USPTO reexamination is completed. As long as they can pay the bills it would make some sence to wait for the patents to have more bite and worth more.
