Patientman,
all good arguments. No disagreements here but PTSC has publically stated that their business plan includes M&A. This requires much research and meetings with potential companies that meet whatever criteria PTSC has set. In my way of thinking, this would be a continual process. In other words, this is what our management team is supposed to do. It's their job.
So, on a daily basis, all or most of the members of the management team are aware of potential investment opportunities that have been discussed in their business meetings and most of the team, more than likely, have been participants in such buyout/merger discussions.
So when can they(BoD/mngmt) purchase shares? It would seem that they are essentially handcuffed from buying at all because the potential exists at any given time for a material event to occur.
RG has been talking with Asian companies regarding Crossflo. Do the BoD have to wait to see of any of those deals pan out and get announced before buying? Can we assume since Bibeau purchased shares, then there is absolutely no discussions of M&A on-going and absolutely no deals being made that would be considered material? Just trying to wrap my brain around what may be considered insider information and I certainly don't have an answer.
Just thinking without using any tools.
Regards,
PxP
