You apparently are unwilling to accept as fact, that the strategy initiated by Phol and continued through RG was flawed from the beginning. We never really had the money or the talent to execute such a strategy sucessfully. I think/hope the BOD is acknowledging that. To me, that acknowledgement is more important than who sits on the board. I certainly would not want some new BOD thinking they can come in, buy a few start ups on the cheap and make them profitable over night.

The fact that you see a new BOD as necessary, suggests you still want PTSC to follow the umbrella strategy? If not that strategy, then what? What kind of expertise is needed etc...
