Agreed. Taking credit for a long overdue action would be inappropriate. And taking sole credit would also be inappropriate - it was a group effort.

However, IMO it would be impossible to ignore the "amazing coincidence" after so much time and no action to date. One would have to assess "probabilities".

And note that if there is no action on the '336 for another six-nine months, I would be forced to acknowledge failure in meeting the ultimate objective. Me, alone, as the one who sent the email.
