I was in contact with Cliff today.
Before I could ask anything, he provided advice re: the lack of a formal PR announcing the Oracle license. He advised that he had received several calls from shareholders about this, and logically anticipated the question.
He advised that this license was different, in that in negotiations they pushed for the ability to make a formal PR announcement, Oracle wouldn't go for it, so the fall-back position was to insist on the ability to at least make a passive announcement via information on their (PTSC and Alliacense) respective Web sites. They were successful in gaining this ability. This indicates to me that they are trying hard for the ability to announce in some fashion to enjoy the MMP marketing benefits, as well as to keep PTSC shareholders apprised.
I asked about progress in the replacement Program Vendor selection process per the 7/17/12 agreement between PTSC and TPL. He advised that the selection had already been made, and that this was the purpose of the agreement between PDS and Alliacense filed the same day and was also confirmed in a statement in the last 10-Q.
Cliff expressed some surprise that I wasn't fully aware of these things, since he knows that I lurk on Agora (he doesn't read it). He said several shareholders had called and asked about this stuff, and that he gave them exactly the same answers that he gave me. He was surprised when I advised that to my knowledge there hadn't been a single post that provided his responses. So now it's posted.....
My apologies if these things have been posted previously and I just missed it.
