NI 43-101 Update (September 2012): 11.1 Mt @ 1.68% Ni, 0.87% Cu, 0.89 gpt Pt and 3.09 gpt Pd and 0.18 gpt Au (Proven & Probable Reserves) / 8.9 Mt @ 1.10% Ni, 1.14% Cu, 1.16 gpt Pt and 3.49 gpt Pd and 0.30 gpt Au (Inferred Resource)
I agree with you MJ,,,and would like to add my recent experience of area plays.
2 years ago,,,I was watching the RED Lake area and particularly the recent drill results/discoveries of Exall and Southern Star.
But I felt they were "pricey" since they were around .65 a share,,,so I decided to load up on CYP and SYH, since I could buy many more shares selling for @ .09 a share.
Well,,,here it is 2 years later and in that time SSR and EXL have merged to become Gold Eagle Mines( GEA )
GEA has drilled and located a resource of at least a few million ounces of gold,,,,could be as many as 10 million when all is said and done. GEA's share price went on to be a 10 Bagger,,,,and CYP after 2 years is FINALLY getting ready to drill deep. 2 Years have been wasted IMO.
My area picks have been cash strapped,,,diluted themselves,,,and have not proven 1 ounce of gold yet. Their share price reflects this fact.
So,,,,all this talk about area plays are a risky bet IMO,especially when the company is cash strapped,,,,the one to go with is NOT. NOT has 30 million cash to drill and find the resources. very little more dillution will be needed.
Where as the area plays will need to do PP at .12 cents a share. A lot of dillution for many of these area plays.
I should have picked GEA,,,,but at least I learned from my mistake,,,Stick with NOT guys,,,,,the rest is much more risky in my experiences.
