I like this post, though don't agree 100%. I like when people back up their ideas with some meat, as Newager did.
I think there could be some pain upcoming too, but remember that reality is rarely as bad as what is imagined. I think that the US will likely go through a severe belt tightening as happened here in Canada to get their defecit under control and start working on the debt. It won't happen until someone has 4 free yrs ahead of them in the White House though! I have too much faith in US ingenuity and ability to adapt to believe that their economy will never recover. That said, no "empire" lasts forever, and many think China's day in the sun is upon us. We will see, but they don't have much history in making wise economic decisions in a capitalist world, and will have some growing pains. I too think that precious metals have big upside, which worries me because it seems when everyone is thinking the same thing... it doesn't happen!
