That deal was not closed years ago, it was closed five months ago in October 2007. (If you don't believe me check out the link below.) http://en.rian.ru/business/20071005/...

You also wrote, "Luckily, I got even, and using the proceeds, bought Norilsk shares on the market. The paper gain is now 191% after just a couple of years."

It closed at 19.77 Euros on October 5th 2007 on the Berlin Exchange, and 17.15 Euros last Friday on the Berlin exchange. This means you LOST over 10% instead of gaining 191% if you purchased Norilsk shares the day the Lionore deal closed. (Look at the adjusted close price on the link below.)
