it depends on their assessment of how mac would respond. so far it looks like a massive misjudgement. people don't necessarily respond logically. emotion, ego - all of these things come to the front. at this stage IMO mac would stand to lose face by being swallowed up - also many fwr shareholders may feel that there is more leverage with their stock. anyway the universe will unfold as it must....
