The area is FN traditional hunting land. They don't own it. The land belongs to Canada as a whole. Aboriginal rights only go so far then the rights of all the peoples take over. Jobs, 1% royalty, disruption payments, infrastructure grants, etc, OK...but 50% of a resource would stop all FNs negotiations forever, everywhere and is criminal even suggesting that that is what they want. The nations people are reasonable and respectful and will not scare away the deer from the best hunting locations. You must be listening to the few fanatics and not the leaders.
