I doubt they will use a winter road for ore haulage. The extraction rumour may be the advanced exploration shaft that will be needed pre production. Equipment and supplies, fuel etc. could be brought in by ice road during the mine building and a permanent road built to Webequie with governments support from the Pickel Lake road by construction completion. There has been someone looking for routes, I have heard.
