The first thing that crossed my mind as I read that CBC report was that the author is way out to lunch. Likely someone assigned him to write something on the subject, he did a bit of back ground, and went for it. Totally inaccurate, but it does get out there to the masses, and the average joe is going to take it for the truth. Such is our mantra, it seems.
I mostly stay away from the forum of late, as there is little in the way of useful intelligent information to debate. Much has been said about the share price, and the culprit that is manipulating it downward. I offer little encouragement in that direction, as the answer is simple to me; There are no buyers.
A market place requires an even amount of buyers and sellers to create commerce. A shortage of either creates an upward or downward movement in the price. At the moment with Noront, there is a complete lack of buyers. There are few sellers also, but just enough to keep hitting the bids, day after day. If one is accumulating, as I am, one simply has to sit there on a lower bid, and in time someone will hit it. Not much, sometimes only a few hundred shares, but over time it counts up.
Remember:
"Then came that sudden whisper, and it maddened us every man,
and I was in on bonanza, before the big rush began"
Best regards
