I understand the frustration. Part of it is simply following too closely. I think that within this forum there are a number of participants who feel the need to connect all the dots and make sense of everything - even if it requires a tortured explanation. I prefer to look at where we are supposed to be headed. Since you need to tack to get up wind, I don't mind a little back and forth if the ultimate heading remains in view and getting closer. What this appointment says to me is "Land Ho!". I may not be able to see the port, but I see smoke on the horizon that looks like it is coming from civilization.
