Everything documented sounds quite familiar with POET, but I don't understand this statement "We have designed, just as Ram has done with the switch silicon, a purpose built silicon photonics platform, specifically driven for integration". If related to POET, the platform was designed by POET, and perhaps Broadcom designed something else using the POET platform. Maybe just the way it is worded and does not mean much (maybe they made a platform from a POET platform?). Time will tell.
