Message: Re: Gotta like what that lady from Broadcom is introducing

I liked a couple of things from the Broadcom presentation

1) This statement is near the end of the Q&A where the CEO interjects to add this statement,

"There’s no business to compete in optical transceiver except the engine to drive those transceivers. Lasers, some of the key components like drivers, TIAs that may exist, but as a full assemble there isn’t. "

As George likes to mention in his interviews for Agoracom, this is the third party validation we're looking for, this time from Hock Tan one of the biggest and most respected players in the networking business, proving that Suresh has picked the right part of the industry to supplement as there's no money in the rest of the transceiver business , aside from the optical engine.

2) I would also like to mention , nowhere does Alexis Bjorlin say they invented or that their solution is proprietary to Broadcom because she said they are "utilizing remote laser sources" (not that they claim to have created an industry first lightbar, because Poet did that already)
