Assuming my math is correct, if I have $1000 of a certain stock, it doesn’t make a difference whether I have 1000 shares at $1, 500 shares at $2, 100 shares at $10, 10 shares at $100, or … well, you get the idea.

Exactly .equal in, equal out....but it's the perspective that makes the difference....been there before, many times.
