Many have been conditioned to believe an R/S is very bad for a company's stock. I'd say 80% of the time things go poorly after an R/S. But in almost every instance where the share price drops, the company was already on the skids.
So, in a Pavlovian way, we hear R/S, and bad feelings instantaneously flood our minds, hearts and guts! And, in some cases, there's a quick, significant dip in share price due to the strong element of self-fulfilling phrophecy as people fall prey to the conditioned response.
Note how many people have told of their bad experiences with R/S in the past. I've had plenty myself. But the current Poet posture does not fit the usual profile of a company on a banana peel.
